From Fisherman’s Wharf to Point Lobos, there's no better way to experience Monterey Peninsula’s seaside attractions, beaches, and iconic landmarks up-close.
Our electric fat-bikes let you cruise at a comfortable 20 mph past Lover’s Point and Asilomar, smelling the ocean, hearing the waves, and stopping easily at all the amazing viewpoints. A little further, and you can ride 17-mile drive to iconic Lone Cypress and Ghost Tree.
For those with a little more time, continue on to Carmel, getting lost among the shops and cottages. And just a couple miles down Highway 1 from Carmel lies “the crown jewel of the State Park System,” Point Lobos State Reserve.
About the bikes...
"The bike that makes you feel like a kid again."
Our most popular bikes are the electric bikes from Rad Power Bikes. Quality bikes in their own right with 7-speed Shimano gearing and disc brakes, they also provide power via a twist-throttle and a 5-speed "cruise control" pedal assist.
Quiet and surprisingly nimble, our bikes carry you easily up the hilly streets of Pacific Grove and Carmel. Expect a range of 20-50 miles per battery. The 34 mile round trip to Point Lobos via 17-Mile Drive requires little effort when you rent an extra battery ($10).
The RadMini folds up, and a pair fits nicely in the back of most SUV's. This makes it poplar with long-term renters and locals taking bikes out of town. We do also rent out hitch-racks ($5 per day, fits in 2" square receiver) that will fit from 2-4 bikes.
Yes, the fat tire RadRover and RadMini can handle sand and snow. They also add stability and safety when traveling at higher speeds. Riders regularly top 35 mph flying down steep hills with nothing but grins on their faces.
For those with children wishing to go out we can add a tag-along for $5 per hr. Or rent one of our "RadWagon" cargo bikes with a seat for kids on the back.
