See Filming Locations from the Hit TV Show
Our newest e-bike tour launches from our base on Tin Cannery Row and features some famous filming locations for HBO’s hit series Big Little Lies. On this ride, we’ll explore from Asilomar State Beach to Del Monte Beach to see where most of the beach running scenes were filmed. And, if the tides are right, you are welcome to take a bonus ride for a mile or two down the sands of Del Monte Beach.
Fans of the show will recognize Lovers Point Park, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Paluca Trattoria (a coffee shop located on Fisherman’s Wharf), and the exterior of the surfside condo of Celeste Wright (played by Nicole Kidman). You’ll see a little of old-town Monterey and a lot of beautiful scenery as we explore this beautiful area and step into the lives of the “Mothers of Monterey”.
The full ride is about 15 miles and lasts approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. We will spend approximately 80% of the time riding in bike lanes, 10% on streets with a 25 mph speed limit, and 10% on the sand.
The Perks of Going Electric
See more of the gorgeous California coast in a shorter amount of time.
Less physical effort means that you can spend your time enjoying the views, not catching your breath.
Adjust the bike’s electric assistance to fit your preferences. It’s suitable both for people who want a good workout and for those that don’t want to expend much energy.
Other Things To Keep in Mind
- Though we have over 120 e-bikes, we request advanced notice for groups larger than 15 riders. Contact us(opens in a new tab) to make arrangements.
- While Southern California is known for its sunny weather, our climate here up north tends to be a bit cooler. We recommend dressing warmly so that you can fully enjoy the ride!
- The optional ride on Del Monte Beach is only available when the tides and waves allow.
